I first read about this hilarious poll on Hot Air. It was conducted by Public Policy Polling, which is headquartered right here in North Carolina.    Is this the new “birther” movement?  I’ve noticed that by far, the search terms that come up most often for my blog (which has dedicated only two articles to the birther movement and court cases) is “Obama birth certificate.”  As for NJ’s stats when asked if they believed Obama was born in the US, PPP notes

…21% of respondents, including 33% of Republicans, express the belief that Obama was not born in the United States.

I guess it’s no wonder that search term pops up so often, there seems to be a great deal of interest in the subject.  I’m keeping tabs on Orly Taitz’s court case.  Nothing is scheduled to happen until October, so we’ll just have to wait patiently.
